My brother Mark (and his wife Kourtney) got me this Kindle DX for my birthday this week. I’ve been wanting a Kindle for a long, long time and with the prices coming down, was on the verge of buying one for myself. Mark must have been reading my mind :)
The DX Graphite is beautiful, and Amazon has really nailed the packaging and unboxing experience, à la Apple. The packaging is minimal and uses recycled material. The setup instructions are set in the screen’s e-ink, which I thought was clever.
